Verification
What we check, and what we can’t
Two questions are checked separately: is this person a physician, and did they actually work with this agency?
1. Physician identity
- A hosted government ID and selfie check confirms that a real person is behind the account.
- The name is matched against public physician records, including the NPI registry, and license status is checked, with manual review where records are unclear.
- Physicians who no longer hold an active license can be accepted for past work when a historical license can be confirmed. That is a reviewer’s decision.
2. Work relationship with the agency
This is a separate review of evidence that the physician worked through the agency. Identity verification alone never qualifies someone to review an agency.
- Accepted evidence includes things like payment statements, timesheets or assignment confirmations.
- A signed contract alone, or a negotiation that never became an assignment, does not qualify for a scored review.
- Uploads are held privately, scanned for malware and handled only by staff assigned to the case.
- Text extracted automatically from documents is only a suggestion for a human reviewer. It is not treated as proof that a document is genuine.
3. Manual publication approval
After the checks, each review is read by a moderator against the content rules, including no patient information, no personal information about staff, no threats and no unsupported factual claims. Approval is manual in this beta; nothing is auto-published. Agencies cannot see private evidence or physician details and cannot veto publication.
What verification does not mean
- We do not claim reviews are fraud-proof, and we cannot prove that a document is authentic or that a reviewer’s account of events is accurate.
- A “Verified physician” label means the checks above were passed. It does not endorse the opinion expressed.
- Agencies being listed, or having claimed a profile, is not an endorsement by us, and agency endorsements aren’t sold.
- The verification flow handles sensitive documents with access controls, but this beta is not certified or audited for any regulatory standard. Never upload patient information.
Agency claims and replies
Agency representatives can claim a profile after their authority is reviewed. A claim lets them propose company facts and post moderated replies. It gives no access to private evidence, reviewer identity or the publication decision, and we never contact an agency about a particular reviewer automatically. Disputes are handled as specific cases and don’t hide criticism automatically.
